Kaleidoscope — Exploring Form & Flow

This is your next step beyond basic silk painting. We move past foundational technique and start working with professional-grade silk dyes, to explore how form and flow come together on silk.
You'll learn to work with two different resists — gutta and thickener — and go deeper into additives (auxiliaries), seeing how each one changes the way dye moves and settles on the cloth.
We also push thickener beyond its usual role, using it for block printing and stamping. Your imagination is the limit: these techniques open up pattern-making in ways basic silk painting doesn't touch.
By the end, you'll be able to…

What learners say
"Husna was such a wonderful teacher — she held back nothing and taught us all the nuances of silk painting. Four hours whizzed past, making a thing of joy: a silk scarf painted for ourselves."
"Honestly, I had no hope at the start — I thought it wouldn't come out well. But they said 'trust the process,' and it came out really well! My experience was much beyond my expectations."
"A very good teacher — she's been doing this for over two decades. Silk painting is such a stress-buster. I loved it!"
